Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU), Karachi has witnessed around 17 percent growth during the period of July-December, 2009, as compared to last corresponding period. According to a statement issued here on Saturday, LTU has collected Rs 109.86 billion as compared to Rs 93.779 billion collections made during last corresponding period.

LTU has surpassed last corresponding period collection by Rs 16.09 billion, depicting around 17 percent growth. LTU, Karachi has collected Rs 32.368 billion under the head of income tax, Sales Tax and Federal Excise in December, 2009 against the budgetary target of Rs 30.967 billion.-PR
